The African American Times
was established in 1996 as a newspaper with a
mission to provide the African- American community
with information that is of current relevance
in the areas of health care, jobs, careers, politics,
entertainment, religion, education, economics,
family and many other mainstream issues that are
of particular interest to African-Americans.
Our publication has experienced tremendous growth
over the years as a result of a hard working,
energetic and visionary staff . As we read through
our daily press releases, we do not seek the "News
Spin" of the day, we seek to use these press
releases to provide the news that has the public
interest in mind.
We have found that in many instances the articles
that are often minimized and deemed insignificant
by other publications are frequently the most
relevant to the African- American community. These
are the stories that we want to be highlighted
on our front pages.
The African American Times looks forward to our
continued service to the African- American community.
We are encouraged by the positive feedback from
our readership, as well as the ever increasing hits
to our daily online publication (africanamericantimes.net),
which indicates to us that our publication is a
successful one.
